Provo Bicycle Collective circa 2015ish

The Backstory:

Seeing a gap in bike affordability, a group of bike enthusiasts established Provo Bicycle Collective in 2011 as part of a Utah-wide non-profit. The shop successfully ran for years, serving thousands of people in Provo and Utah County. Sadly, the state-wide Bicycle Collective organization decided to pull out of Provo at the end of 2024.

With a strong belief that a non-profit bike shop in Utah County is needed and wanted, a group of us rallied to organize Provo Bike Hub. We’ve set out to bring the people what they want: a locally-run shop focused on affordable bikes, high-quality services, and deep-rooted community ties.

The Why

We believe that bikes are an incredibly effective vehicle for bringing about good. Every person involved has been touched by the wonder, connection, exhilaration, and joy of riding bikes.

We’ve witnessed pure glee on a child’s face as they’re given their first bike. Endless adventures await!

We’ve heard adults living in poverty share how empowered they felt after receiving a bike. The gift of a bike enables independence to transport themselves to a job interview, or to the grocery store, or a doctor’s appointment.

These stories fuel our desire to make Provo Bike Hub a reality. If you, too, believe in the power of bicycles, consider donating.

Meet the Team

A bike’s foundation is the frame, but it’s the parts and components that make it actually rideable. Meet the “framebuilders,” per say, who are laying the foundation for the organization.
